Connecticut Cities Choose Christian Flags — But Freeze Out Satanology Requests

Hartford, Waterbury, Torrington, and New Britain are all flying Christian flags.
Chaz Stevens — founder of the Church of Satanology — asked for equal time.
Result? Dead silence, ghosting, and transparent stalling from Connecticut officials.

According to CT Insider, these cities bent over backwards to approve a flag celebrating Christianity under the thin excuse of “heritage.”
But when Stevens requested to raise a Satanology banner — protected under the same First Amendment principles — city leaders suddenly developed a case of selective amnesia about “equal access.”

“When a government raises one religion’s flag and silences another, it’s not patriotism — it’s unconstitutional.”
– Dr. T. Chaz Stevens

Let’s be blunt:

  • You can’t raise one religion’s flag and call yourself neutral.
  • You can’t ignore disfavored religions and pretend you’re fair.
  • And you definitely can’t expect to skate past the Constitution unscathed.

By picking winners and losers among religious viewpoints, these Connecticut cities have opened themselves to serious First Amendment and Establishment Clause challenges — exactly the legal trap Stevens is setting.

Government neutrality means ALL faiths — or NONE.
And when officials fail that basic test, they get dragged into the court of public opinion—and maybe federal court, too.

Stay tuned. This is just getting started.
